I selected this course just after coming on with Pixel Booty LLC as we, at the time, were developing a game using C#. The head engineer uses Visual Studio, and so does this course proctor, so that was also a great benefit. It was a good crash course in coding in C# and Visual Studio, as well as tangible exposure to what a framework is. Using our version control system would have been much more difficult if I was using a different IDE, even such as VSCode.

Incidentally, at this time I had gotten a secondhand computer from a friend that ended up giving me some trouble booting into Windows. I decided to turn the computer into a Linux machine and went ahead and installed Ubuntu on actual hardware this time. It was much more responsive and so much nicer to use than the VirtualBox environment I had previously been running was. At any rate, that computer was in my home office and I really wanted to use Visual Studio out there, so I spent some more time with the computer to figure out what was going on and was able to install Windows alongside Ubuntu. This way I was able to work with Pixel Booty LLC with the exact same software, as well as get back into Ubuntu now and then to broaden my understanding of it.
